John has served in pastoral ministry for five decades, having served as Senior Pastor in the Midwest and Southeast regions of the U.S. John has always been active in pastor training and board governance.

In 2009, John began serving WorldServe, a nonprofit called to advance the Gospel in closed and hard-to-reach nations, as a consultant on training leaders in China. He then became President in 2010. Under his leadership, WorldServe planted more than 100 churches among the poor and most vulnerable in China and India.

John is married to Carol, who is also heavily involved in God’s work; and together, they enjoy a large family of four married children and 12 grandchildren.
